I'm exhausted!

I have three classes left this semester and I'm very excited for the year to be coming to an end. I'm not necessarily happy about leaving Boston for four months, but not having to do school work and being able to relax and enjoy the nice weather is something I am certainly looking forward to!

I have five finals next week, two on Monday, two on Wednesday and my last one on Thursday. My parents are coming up Thursday to help move me out which is always an interesting experience because you finally realize how much stuff you have. My parents always yell at me because I acquire a lot of random things during my year at school...like christmas lights that are still hung up around my room. But hey, I'm not the only one who collects random stuff!

Speaking of moving, my room at home is a complete disaster because I haven't cleaned that in forever, so moving back in is going to be a huge challenge. After I came home from Disney I threw all my clean clothes on my bed and they're still there. I should have cleaned it this past weekend when I was home, but I worked so much that I barely had time to sleep! So now, I'm completely exhausted and the result is me not feeling well today. I've never been one to function well when I'm tired.

Even though next week is finals, I still have tons of assignments to complete before I even think about studying. I have a computer assignment for Stats, and I have to finish a practice exam that we'll go over on Thursday. I also have a case due for Marketing which I have to email to my professor because we don't have class Thursday. I also just remembered I have Accounting homework due tomorrow. Ick!

Hopefully I'll be able to tackle all this work tonight and finish by a decent hour. So much for me thinking about going to the gym tonight!

All the Ambassadors are getting together for an end of the year dinner tomorrow in the Welcome Center which should be a really nice time; it's a rare occurance to have all of us together when we aren't working a showcase or open house. The last info sessions are going on this week, so this is going to be the last time I give a tour this year! Kind of crazy that this year really is done, but it's also very exciting.

9 days until I'm home for the summer!

It's Not Getting Any Easier

I thought that the last four weeks of the semester wouldn't be too bad or stressful, but boy was I wrong! Suffolk had two accepted students events this past week and they were extremely hectic not only for the Admissions counselors, but also for the Ambassadors and work study students. Being up at 830 in the morning on the weekend is never pleasant, but having to do it twice?! Eww. (:

Both of the events went really well, and they both had an amazing turnout of students which is always a plus. I'm kind of glad to say that these events are done for a year until Open House in November. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like these events, but they are really long days.

Since both of these events are over, I now have more time to focus on all the rest of the work I have due in the next few weeks. I have an exam tomorrow that I haven't finished studying for. I started studying on Friday and I still have one more chapter to look over. I also have a paper due on Wednesday that I've completed writing but could certainly use some revisions which is what I'll be spending my night tomorrow working on.

I also have to do a short presentation on a poem I chose for my English Lit class. I have to talk a little about the author, since I'm the first person to present in that category, and I have to talk about what the poem means. Now I'm not very good at looking at all the symbols and metaphors in a poem and explaining to my class what this means. My professor I'm sure knows every poem she had us chose from by heart and if I get something wrong then that could be disastrous. I'm a Business Major! What do I know about English?

Happy April Fool's Day!

It's finally April! yay! April means I only have about 4 weeks left of school, 3 and a half actually since I only have classes Monday-Thursday. I think nature pulled a bit of a joke on us today because it's really warm, about 60 degrees, but tomorrow it's going to be in the 40s again. Eww. I'm so ready for summer right now!

So, I was sitting in my English Lit class today at 10 am and I was looking at my syllabus for my Marketing class and all of a sudden it dawned on me that I had a Marketing Metric assignment due today and I hadn't done it. So, since we were only watching a movie in class, I left at 10:30 so I could rush back to my room to do the assignment. My professor usually goes over all the formulas we need for the assignment and simplifies them for us. I had missed one class last week because I wasn't feeling well and I didn't have the simplified formulas. I go online to Blackboard to download the assignment but it wasn't uploaded.

And then it dawned on me that since we lost a day of class last Tuesday that all the assignments were pushed back so I didn't have to leave my English class because I had no assignment due for Marketing.

Moral of the story is try not to miss any classes because it backfires sometimes.
